Plein air workshops in Rome and in the countryside

A natural extension of drawing from nature is to go out and engage in plein air drawing and painting.

Plein air workshops are organized in the countryside in a residential fashion, using a farm hotel (agriturismo). Workshops last between three and seven days.

The workshop "Draw and Paint in Rome in the Footsteps of the Grand Tour" is designed to offer English-speaking artists (from beginners to advanced) the opportunity to draw and paint famous and less known spots of Rome as if they were reliving the experience and emotions of "Grand Tour" travellers of the past (like, Goethe, Turner, Corot, Ruskin, Stendhal) . Two thousand years of history in Rome provide the most amazing plein air subjects, mingling the beauty of nature with the charm of history.

The workshop lasts four days, from Tuesday through Friday, and is a balanced mix of lectures, demos, drawing and painting projects, always under personalized supervision and critique.
